- Licensed Professional Counseling Intern (LPCI)
Greetings, my name is Michelle Butler, and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern presently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I am profoundly committed to assisting individuals and groups in achieving holistic well-being. I have experience in addressing women’s issues, anxiety, relationship health, career-related stress, life transitions, and concerns pertinent to military and ministry personnel. Yet I value learning from and working with a diverse spectrum of individuals.
Grounded in the holistic approach of Adlerian Therapy—encouragement, collaboration, and empathy—while emphasizing the client’s positive qualities, I integrate mindfulness, relaxation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Hope Action Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy interventions. My goal is to establish a secure, authentic, and non-judgmental healing environment where we foster trust, engage in collaboration, and employ techniques that facilitate growth and transformation. I believe that a growth mindset is profoundly transformative, and discovering a sense of self through creative outlets and complementary therapeutic practices such as yoga and mindfulness has become integral in my own journey to wholeness.
