Hello and welcome! My name is Meghan Ekins, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor
Candidate (LPCC). I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the
University of Northern Colorado, and I am passionate about supporting individuals as they
navigate life’s challenges and pursue personal growth.
I believe therapy is a collaborative and empowering process where you feel safe, supported, and
truly heard. My approach is grounded in a client-centered perspective, and I integrate positive
psychology and other evidence-based practices to meet your unique needs. I work with clients
experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem
challenges, grief, and relational stressors.
My goal is to create a warm and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences,
build strength and clarity, and move toward becoming the most authentic and fulfilled version of
yourself.

Therapy Techniques and Focuses

A structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Focuses on building coping skills and practical strategies for change.

Emphasizes cultivating strengths, resilience, and wellbeing rather than focusing solely on pathology. Supports clients in developing gratitude, meaning, and personal growth.

Encourages clients to “re-author” their personal stories by externalizing problems and highlighting resilience. Helps individuals separate their identity from struggles and create empowering narratives.

A collaborative, non-confrontational style that strengthens clients’ intrinsic motivation for change. Particularly effective for addressing ambivalence and enhancing self-determination.

Centers on present-moment awareness and integration of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Uses experiential methods such as dialogue and role-play to deepen self-understanding.

Explores meaning, freedom, choice, and responsibility. Helps clients confront existential concerns and live more authentically in alignment with their values.

I believe therapy is a collaborative and empowering process where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
