Credentials
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern (CI)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Hello! My name is Alyssa Farris, and I am a Counseling Intern pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Outside of my studies, I find joy in being active outside, reading, playing with my puppy, and baking all things sourdough.
I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, spirituality, ministry burnout, and body image concerns. My priority is to offer warmth, authenticity, and a non-judgmental space where trust can grow, and healing can unfold. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as we explore your story, honor your strengths, and uncover meaning even in places that may feel painful or uncertain.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Adlerian theory. This theory honors the fullness of an individual’s story and explores the interconnection of past experiences, core beliefs, and current patterns. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques to help clients develop insight and resilience. Above all, I believe in collaborating with each individual to identify therapeutic methods that best support their goals and unique journey. I look forward to supporting you on your path toward holistic wellness.
